About us

At Pavilions of Harrogate, every day brings something different. Set within 250 acres of the Great Yorkshire Showground, this award-winning venue hosts weddings, celebrations, conferences and special events in a beautiful and versatile setting. Alongside our sister venue, the Great Yorkshire Events Centre, we deliver amazing large-scale events with an experienced team, flexible spaces and a genuine passion for making each event special.

Purpose of the role

We're looking for a Wedding and Events Sales Coordinator to join our energetic Sales Team.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who is organised, confident with people and excited by the buzz of a busy events environment.

You will be at the heart of the customer journey, from first enquiry and show-round to proposal, event details and to the handover to our events managers, helping clients create events and experiences to remember.

Help deliver weddings, celebrations, live events and more

Build strong relationships with clients and provide an excellent customer experience at every stage.

Respond to enquiries promptly, accurately and professionally.

Create tailored proposals with strong attention to detail.

Prepare accurate, up-to-date function sheets and supporting documentation.

Upsell confidently to enhance each event and increase value.

Use energy, creativity and commercial awareness to attract new business and maximise opportunities

Key responsibilities

Arrange and deliver engaging client viewings and venue tours.

Promote the venues at exhibitions, networking, awards and other industry events.

Confidently present to clients and agents, showcasing what makes our venues special.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, agents and internal stakeholders, to retain repeat business.

Ensure all information is communicated to other departments including operations and catering team.

Use the event diary and CRM proactively to manage leads, bookings and follow-up on sales activity.

Coordinate client requirements and requests efficiently.

Contribute to the delivery of the sales plan to increase bookings and revenue.

Ensure invoices, orders and other documentation are accurate and produced on time.

Keep all client records up to date and complete.

Confidently make proactive and reactive sales calls.

What we're looking for

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.

Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy.

A warm, approachable, friendly and professional manner.

Confidence using Microsoft Office and sales or CRM systems.

A proactive, positive 'can do' attitude and willingness to learn.

The ability to stay focused and calm in a fast-paced environment.

A team-oriented approach with a passion for creating brilliant customer experiences.

Previous experience in venue, hospitality, hotel sales or events is desirable.

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week , 5 days of 7 (some evenings/ weekends)
