Salary

£36,000 per year (depending on experience)
3-month probation period

Full Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Electric Gate, Doors, Roller Shutter Engineer / Handyman to join our growing team.

The role involves the installation, commissioning, servicing, maintenance, and repair of:

Automated / Electric Gates
Electric Roller Shutters
Automatic Doors
Door Entry & Intercom Systems
CCTV
Automatic Barriers

You will work on residential, commercial, and industrial projects across Essex and London.

Key Responsibilities

Installation and commissioning.
Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM)
Reactive call-outs and emergency repairs
Fault finding and electronic low-voltage troubleshooting
Controller and PLC configuration
Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with health and safety requirements

Skills and Experience

Previous experience in automated gate or access control installations is desirable but not essential, as full training can be provided.
Good practical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

Full UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points.
CSCS Card, DHF Certification, or CDP qualification would be advantageous, but are not essential.
