HR Advisor
Location: Support Office, Basingstoke (Hybrid requirement to travel to nurseries once per week)
Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract: Initially a fixed-term contract, with the potential to become a permanent position.

We're looking for a proactive and ambitious HR professional to join us in a role that offers genuine development, broad operational exposure and the opportunity to build strong HR skills. Working closely with the HR Business Partner, you'll support multiple nursery sites and Support Office functions with coaching, engagement, retention, attendance, probation and performance.
You’ll use data analytics to help guide the conversations and be part of building the best teams that we can be. You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of key people priorities within your regions while developing your skills within a growing, multi-site organisation.
Importantly, Grandir UK now has a dedicated Employee Relations team in place, meaning this role is focused on proactive HR support, manager coaching and driving people initiatives, rather than managing a high volume of employee relations casework.

What You'll Be Doing

Support the HR Business Partner in delivering the HR strategy and key people initiatives across the region
Provide professional, practical and timely HR advice and support to Nursery Managers across a group of nurseries and our Support Office functions, ensuring People matters are managed fairly, consistently and in accordance with GrandirUK values, standards and employment law.
Be the trusted first point of contact for people related queries, providing practical HR advice, coaching, training and hands-on support.
Build strong relationships with nursery teams through regular site visits, HR cafés, and cluster meetings (expensed travel to London approx. once per week).
Lead and support the end-to-end probation process, coaching managers to deliver effective probation reviews, address performance concerns and make informed employment decisions.
Take ownership of attendance management within your regions, using data-driven insights to proactively identify absence trends, coach and support managers to improve attendance and employee wellbeing.
Support HR projects, audits, policy reviews, acquisitions and TUPE activities.
Assist the ER team with employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, and conduct cases when required.
Coach and support managers to produce clear, professional and high-quality people management documentation.

You'll be someone who thrives on building relationships, developing others and finding practical solutions to people challenges. You'll also be eager to broaden your experience, gain exposure to a multi-site environment and continue developing your HR career within a growing organisation.
Essential Skills & Experience

Previous experience in a HR Advisor or similar generalist HR role.
Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
Experience supporting attendance management, probation processes and performance management.
Proven ability to coach and influence managers to achieve positive people outcomes.
Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting HR data and identifying trends.
Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards qualification)
