Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Loading Shovel Driver to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will operate heavy-duty loading shovels to efficiently move materials, manage stockpiles, and load bulk tipper lorries.

Duties

Operate a loading shovels with precision and transport materials across the site
Conduct routine inspections of machinery to identify maintenance needs and ensure optimal performance
Assist with the movement of bulk recycled materials in a safe manner
Follow all safety protocols and site procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment
Collaborate with team members to coordinate material handling activities efficiently
Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, inspections, and material movements
Support site logistics by preparing materials for delivery or dispatch as required

Experience

Proven experience of operating a loading shovel in a industrial setting
Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform basic maintenance
Familiarity with health and safety regulations relevant to heavy equipment operation
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions with physical stamina and attention to detail
