Full job description

Job Overview
JMP Foodservice is a well established, family run buisness supplying quality food products to our valued customers. We are looking for a reliable and motivated HGV 7.5te C1 driver to join our friendly team.

Responsibilities

Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, to deliver goods to clients and customers.
Plan delivery routes effectively to optimise time and fuel efficiency.
Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly during transit.
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery.
Communicate professionally with customers regarding delivery times or any unforeseen delays.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations at all times during deliveries.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar commercial driving role.
Valid UK C1 driver’s licence .
Experience with warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous.
Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, demonstrating physical fitness and stamina.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
Organised with the ability to follow schedules accurately and manage time efficiently.
Knowledge of local roads and navigation skills are preferred. This position offers an engaging work environment for motivated individuals who enjoy driving and delivering excellent service. We value punctuality, professionalism, and safety in all aspects of the role.
