We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and professional Night Porter to join our team at a busy hotel in Scarborough's North Bay.
This is a varied and responsible role that requires someone who can work efficiently on their own, manage their workload effectively, and remain calm under pressure when dealing with guests and unexpected situations throughout the night.

Key Responsibilities:Guest Services
- Welcoming and assisting late arrivals and check-ins
- Answering telephone calls and providing accurate information to guests
- Handling guest enquiries and resolving issues in a professional manner
- Providing excellent customer service at all times
Bar Duties
- Serving drinks and operating the hotel bar during licensed hours
- Restocking the bar ready for the following day
- Cleaning and maintaining the coffee machine
- Ensuring the still room is clean and organised
- Washing and putting away all pots, glasses and bar equipment
Cleaning & Preparation
- Cleaning all public areas to a high standard
- Cleaning toilets, restaurant areas and function rooms
- Sweeping and mopping floors as required
- Setting up areas ready for the morning shift
- Restocking breakfast items and preparing service areas for breakfast operations
Security & Health & Safety
- Acting as the main point of contact throughout the night
- Carrying out regular floor checks and security patrols
- Ensuring the safety and security of guests, staff and the premises
- Following all Health & Safety procedures and licensing regulations
- Reporting and responding appropriately to any incidents that may arise
What We're Looking For
Previous hotel, hospitality, bar or customer service experience would be advantageous, although full training can be provided for the right candidate.
Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be comfortable working overnight shifts and be confident dealing with a wide variety of situations independently.
