An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Employment Solicitor with 2–4 years' post-qualification experience to join a highly regarded national Employment, Pensions and Immigration team.
This award-winning commercial law practice advises a diverse portfolio of public and private sector organisations across healthcare, social care, local government, higher education, financial services, housing, and commercial sectors. The employment team is recognised for its expertise in both contentious and non-contentious employment matters and continues to experience significant growth nationally.

The Role
Based in Birmingham, Bristol or Leeds, with flexible hybrid working arrangements, you will work alongside experienced partners and senior lawyers while managing your own caseload.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Advising employers on a broad range of employment law matters
- Managing Employment Tribunal claims from inception through to resolution
- Drafting pleadings, witness statements and supporting documentation
- Advising on disciplinary, grievance, capability and performance management matters
- Providing strategic advice on settlement negotiations and workplace disputes
- Reviewing and drafting employment contracts, policies and procedures
- Advising on equality, diversity and discrimination matters
- Supporting clients through restructures, redundancies and organisational change projects
- Advising on TUPE matters and supporting corporate and commercial transactions
- Delivering employment law training to clients and stakeholders
- Supporting business development initiatives and strengthening client relationships
- Collaborating with colleagues across multiple offices and specialist practice areas
The successful candidate will have opportunities to work on both day-to-day advisory matters and significant employment litigation, including complex tribunal and appellate cases.
Candidate Requirements
We are keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:
- Qualified Solicitor with approximately 2–4 years' PQE in employment law
- Experience handling both contentious and non-contentious employment matters
- Employment Tribunal experience, including drafting pleadings and witness evidence
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation, case law and workplace best practice
- Experience advising on employee relations issues including disciplinary, grievance and capability matters
- Experience drafting and reviewing employment documentation
- Knowledge of TUPE, redundancy and restructuring processes
- Excellent communication and client management skills
- Strong organisational and case management abilities
- Commercial awareness and a practical approach to problem-solving
- An interest in developing client relationships and contributing to business development activities
Experience advising clients within healthcare, local government, housing, higher education, financial services or wider commercial sectors would be advantageous but is not essential.
