The Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Salesperson to join our dynamic sales team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their sales skills within a professional environment through providing valuable experience in customer engagement, negotiation, and relationship management.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting business growth through effective communication, negotiation, and customer engagement. A proactive attitude and strong organisational skills are essential to succeed in this role.
Duties
- Assist in identifying potential clients and developing new business opportunities through diverse sales approaches
- Engage with customers via phone, email, and face-to-face meetings to understand their needs and present suitable solutions
- Support senior sales staff in preparing proposals, presentations, and quotations tailored to client needs
- Manage a pipeline of prospects and update CRM systems accurately to track progress
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and sales activities using IT systems including dates of follow up action
- Negotiate terms and close sales deals while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products or services
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing queries promptly and professionally
- Drive company vehicles when required for client visits or sales meetings
Communication & Liaison
- Establish and develop sound working relationships between internal teams across the Office and Production/Workshop areas
- Provide daily up-dates on progress, secured new leads and customer enquiries received
- Escalate enquiries and follow ups to senior sales team members within agreed timescales
Health & safety
- Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with company health & safety policies, risk assessments, and statutory regulations
Other Duties
- Support cross-functional teams as and when required
- Contribute to audits, compliance checks, and improvement projects
- Perform any other reasonable duties in line with business needs
Essential Experience & Qualifications:
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence and persuade effectively
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanour
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Able to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels
- Basic IT skills including familiarity with CRM software, MS Office suite, and email platforms
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
- Strong time management skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple clients simultaneously

Desirable Experience & Qualifications:
- Some knowledge or experience in heavy vehicle/plant body building, is an advantage (full training will be provided as required)
- High attention to detail with experience understanding designs
- Enjoy working under pressure and to tight deadlines whilst maintaining safety standards
- Enthusiastic and committed to providing an outstanding product
- Flexible in approach and able to understand and follow instructions
- Self-motivated and willing to work within a team, strong collaboration skills
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

From £27, 000.00- £30, 000.00 per annum

Additional Information:
On site working required with limited flexibility for remote working
Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) only
Pay: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
