Duty Manager

Join the Team at New Road Hotel

Opened in October 2017, New Road Hotel is an award-winning, 79-bedroom boutique hotel located in the heart of Whitechapel/Aldgate (Zone 2) with excellent transport links via the Elizabeth Line/District/Hammersmith and City and Overground.

Set within a beautifully restored former textile warehouse, the hotel blends industrial heritage with contemporary design. Original exposed brickwork sits alongside stylish modern interiors, while our unique room offering includes spacious loft rooms with private hot tubs and Jacuzzis.

Our vibrant ground floor features an open-plan social space inspired by New York boutique hotels, complete with a lively bar and branded coffee concept. Guests can also enjoy the renowned Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill, private dining rooms, meeting spaces for business events, and a stunning rooftop terrace used for networking events, private functions and fitness classes.

The Role

We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and experienced Duty Manager to support and manage front desk operations as well act as a supporting member in F&B when required.

As one of the hotel's key operational leaders, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences from arrival to departure. You'll lead by example, ensuring every guest receives a warm welcome, outstanding service and a memorable stay.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Front Office Manager/Operations Manager in the day-to-day operation of Reception.
Lead, motivate and inspire the Reception team to consistently deliver exceptional guest service.
Ensure guests receive a friendly, efficient and professional check-in and check-out experience.
Handle guest enquiries, requests and complaints with confidence and professionalism.
Work closely with all hotel departments to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
Promote the hotel's facilities, services and current offers to enhance the guest experience.
Assist with team training, coaching and ongoing development.
the role requires occasionally cover for Night Duty Manager
Ensure hotel standards, policies and brand expectations are maintained at all times.

We're looking for someone who is:

An excellent communicator, both face-to-face and over the telephone.
Committed to delivering exceptional customer service.
Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
A confident leader who also enjoys working as part of a team.
Experienced in a hotel reception or front office supervisory role (essential).
Food and Beverage knowledge desirable
