Field Sales Representative

Work from home 2-3 days per week

Location: South Shields
Job Type: 35 Hours a week
Salary: Competitive (depending on experience) + Performance Bonus (if applicable)

Rope Access Trade Solutions is a specialist provider of rope access and engineering services across a range of industries, including renewable energy, rail, construction, industrial maintenance, oil & gas and COMAH sites.

As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Sales Representative to help us develop new business opportunities and build lasting relationships with clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in sales. Whether you have previous sales experience or have worked in an engineering or industrial environment and are looking for a new challenge, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

As part of our team, you'll help promote our services, develop new customer relationships and support the continued growth of the business.

Your responsibilities will include:

Identifying and contacting potential new customers.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients.
Looking for opportunities to expand business within engineering, industrial, renewable energy, rail and construction sectors.
Arranging and attending customer meetings.
Promoting our rope access and engineering services.
Preparing quotations and assisting with sales proposals.
Attending industry exhibitions, networking events and conferences.
Researching new markets and helping develop sales and marketing initiatives.
Maintaining accurate customer records and sales activity using Microsoft Office.
Working closely with our Directors, Operations and Project teams to deliver excellent customer service.

Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, motivated and eager to build a career in sales. You'll enjoy meeting new people, building relationships and spotting opportunities to help our customers.

The ideal candidate will have:

Excellent communication and people skills.
A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
Confidence speaking with customers both over the phone and face-to-face.
An interest in engineering, industrial services or construction.
An understanding of engineering environments, industrial sites or COMAH (Control of Major Accident Hazards) sites.
Previous experience working within engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, rope access, construction or industrial services would be an advantage.
Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites.

Previous sales experience is beneficial but not essential. We're looking for someone with the right attitude, enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
