Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Bodyshop Manager to oversee daily operations within our busy workshop. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of technicians, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining efficient workflow. A strong background in vehicle repair and bodywork, coupled with excellent leadership skills, is essential for this role. The Bodyshop Manager will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring safety and compliance with industry regulations.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate the activities of bodyshop technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs.
Oversee the organisation and prioritisation of repair jobs to optimise productivity.
Ensure all work adheres to company quality standards and safety protocols.
Manage inventory levels of parts, tools, and equipment necessary for daily operations.
Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and safety information.
Liaise with customers, insurance companies, and suppliers to facilitate smooth workflow.
Implement training programmes to maintain high skill levels within the team.
Monitor and control costs related to labour, parts, and materials.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and labour hours for reporting purposes.

Qualifications

Proven experience in vehicle body repair or a related field with a strong understanding of mechanical systems.
Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools required for vehicle repairs.
Physical capability for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks associated with vehicle repair work.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with staff, customers, and suppliers.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to automotive repair environments. The ideal candidate will possess a proactive attitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced environment. Pay: £55,000.00 per year
