Full job description

Overview

Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Hotel Maintenance Technician and become a vital part of ensuring our property operates smoothly, safely, and efficiently. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining the physical condition of the hotel, troubleshooting technical issues, and performing repairs across various systems. Your proactive approach and technical expertise will help create a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike, fostering a positive experience at every touchpoint.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections of the hotel’s electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to identify potential issues before they impact operations.
Perform repairs and maintenance on equipment, fixtures, and infrastructure using skills in Plumbing, Electrical work, and mechanical troubleshooting.
Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to diagnose problems accurately.
Manage programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to troubleshoot automated systems and ensure operational efficiency.
Supervise maintenance tasks carried out by team members or external contractors, ensuring safety standards are met.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used for accountability and future reference.
Respond promptly to guest or staff maintenance requests with professionalism and a customer service-oriented attitude.

Requirements

Proven experience in electrical work, mechanical maintenance, plumbing, or related fields within a hospitality or similar environment.
Strong knowledge of schematics and wiring diagrams for troubleshooting electrical systems.
Ability to read technical manuals and schematics clearly to diagnose issues efficiently.
Excellent mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in repairs and preventive maintenance.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a maintenance team is preferred.
Fluency in English is required for effective communication with team members and vendors.
Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly approach to guest interactions.
