Receptionist

The Sitwell Arms Hotel – Renishaw

Hours: 20 hours per week
Job Type: Part-time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

About the Role

We are looking for a friendly, professional, and customer-focused Receptionist to join our team at The Sitwell Arms Hotel.

As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a key role in creating a warm and welcoming experience from arrival through to departure. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a busy environment, and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Welcoming guests and providing outstanding customer service
Checking guests in and out efficiently
Handling telephone, email, and face-to-face enquiries
Managing hotel reservations and guest bookings
Taking restaurant, meeting room, and function room bookings
Processing payments and preparing guest bills
Maintaining accurate guest records and booking information
Assisting with daily cash reconciliation and reporting
Ensuring the reception area remains clean, organised, and professional
Liaising with housekeeping and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction

What We're Looking For

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A friendly, positive, and professional attitude
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
Good computer literacy
Previous reception, hospitality, hotel, or customer service experience is desirable but not essential
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required
