Marketing Manager

Role Purpose

As Marketing Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of our in-house marketing department, ensuring every campaign, channel and project is delivered to the highest creative and commercial standard.

Working closely with the Head of Marketing, you'll translate strategic objectives into clear priorities for the wider team, providing leadership, direction and coaching to maximise performance across every marketing discipline.

You'll champion continuous improvement throughout the department—streamlining processes, improving campaign effectiveness, embracing new technologies and embedding AI-powered efficiencies to ensure our marketing remains industry-leading.

This is a hands-on leadership role that combines people management, operational excellence, commercial awareness and creative ambition.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

Lead the day-to-day management of the marketing department, ensuring workloads are planned effectively and resources are utilised efficiently.
Inspire, coach and develop a high-performing team across multiple marketing disciplines.
Conduct regular one-to-ones, performance reviews and personal development planning.
Foster a collaborative, positive and accountable team culture.
Encourage creativity, innovation and continuous professional development throughout the department.
Identify skills gaps and training opportunities.

Strategy Delivery

Work alongside the Head of Marketing to translate departmental strategy into actionable marketing plans.
Ensure strategic priorities are clearly communicated and successfully delivered by the team.
Monitor campaign progress and remove barriers to successful delivery.
Coordinate activity across all product genres, promotional channels and customer audiences.
Ensure projects remain aligned with business objectives and commercial priorities.

Operational Excellence

Own the operational management of the marketing department.
Continuously review and improve internal processes, workflows and campaign planning.
Identify opportunities to increase efficiency without compromising creativity or quality.
Introduce new ways of working that improve collaboration and delivery.
Ensure deadlines are consistently met and workloads remain balanced across the team.
Develop scalable processes that support future business growth.

Campaign Performance & Commercial Success

Oversee the successful execution of all marketing campaigns across every channel.
Monitor campaign performance using agreed KPIs and commercial objectives.
Analyse results to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
Produce regular performance reports and present findings to the Head of Marketing and senior stakeholders.
Work closely with the wider commercial teams to maximise return on investment.
Ensure campaign learnings are embedded into future activity.

Creative Leadership

Challenge the team to continually raise the quality of creative output.
Encourage new ideas, testing and experimentation.
Maintain consistency across all customer communications and brand activity.
Review campaigns before launch to ensure they meet the expected creative and commercial standards.
Champion customer-first thinking throughout every campaign.

AI & Innovation

Lead the department's adoption of AI tools and emerging marketing technologies.
Identify opportunities where automation and AI can improve efficiency, creativity and campaign performance.
Develop best practice guidance for AI usage across the department.
Encourage responsible experimentation with new technologies.
Stay informed of developments within marketing technology and recommend future improvements.

Stakeholder & Cross-Department Collaboration

Act as the key operational link between the Head of Marketing and the wider marketing team.
Build strong relationships across Commercial, Sales, CRM, Digital and Customer Experience teams.
Work closely with external agencies and partners where required.
Ensure marketing activity supports wider business objectives.

You'll Need

Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related discipline.
7–10+ years' experience in a senior marketing role.
Significant experience leading and developing marketing teams.
Strong project management and organisational skills.
Experience managing multi-channel marketing campaigns.
Commercial awareness with a strong understanding of campaign performance and ROI.
Excellent leadership, communication and coaching skills.
Confidence presenting results and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Experience identifying and implementing process improvements.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret marketing data.
A passion for creative excellence and continuous improvement.
An interest in AI, marketing technology and innovation.
Excellent written English and IT skills.

We'd Love It If You Also Had

Experience in travel, cruise or hospitality marketing.
Knowledge of CRM platforms and customer segmentation.
Familiarity with marketing automation platforms.
Experience embedding AI or automation within marketing workflows.
