Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing hydraulic systems and components. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in a busy industrial environment. The Hydraulic Fitter will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of hydraulic equipment across various projects.

Responsibilities

Install, assemble, and repair hydraulic systems and components according to technical specifications and safety standards.
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on hydraulic machinery to prevent breakdowns and optimise performance.
Diagnose faults within hydraulic systems using specialised tools and techniques.
Use hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs, adjustments, and installations.
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to ensure accurate assembly and troubleshooting.
Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and system conditions.
Follow health and safety procedures diligently to minimise risks during maintenance activities.
Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Hydraulic Fitter or in a similar mechanical role
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical diagrams and schematics.
Proficiency in using hand tools.
Experience with power tools relevant to hydraulic system installation and repair.
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Relevant qualifications or certifications in hydraulics or mechanical engineering are desirable but not essential.
