Full job description

Location: Barns Green, West Sussex

Bubbles Swim School is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic STA/SEQ Level 2 Swim Teacher who also holds the Teaching Swimming to Babies and Toddlers qualification.

This role involves delivering high-quality swimming lessons to children from 8 weeks to 14 years, helping them develop confidence, technique and lifelong swimming skills.

Hours

Saturdays: 1:00 pm – 5:30 pm

Sundays: 1:30pm - 5:30pm

Pay

£30.00 per hour (regular teaching)
£38.00 per hour (cover teaching)

Self-employed position

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, structured swimming lessons.
Teach Discovery Ducklings, Duckling Levels and Stages 1–5.
Work independently while maintaining high teaching standards.
Create a positive, safe and encouraging learning environment.
Use constructive, age-appropriate feedback to support progression.
Assess new swimmers during trial lessons.
Continuously monitor progress and award Swim England badges, stroke and distance awards.
Support swimmers in progressing through the Swim England Learn to Swim pathway.
Communicate regularly with parents where appropriate.

Essential Requirements

Applicants must have:

SEQ Level 2 Swimming Teacher (or equivalent)
SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming to Babies and Toddlers (or equivalent)
NRASTC (or equivalent teacher rescue qualification)
Current enhanced DBS check
Full UK driving licence
Minimum 2 years' experience independently teaching babies, toddlers and children up to 14 years of age
