This is a full-time (Monday to Friday; 09:00-17:15), office-based role (as per the job description)

Assistant Manager (Insurance – Property Owners and Caravans)

Location: Southend on Sea

The Role

We are looking for an experienced insurance professional who is looking to take the next step in their development.

Key Responsibilities

Manage new business, renewals, and mid-term adjustments
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers and other departments of the business.
Negotiate terms and obtain competitive quotations
Ensure accurate documentation and compliance
Manage your own workload and priorities effectively to be able to delegate and distribute work
Identify opportunities to enhance client cover and retention

What we're looking for

Essential

Minimum 3+ years’ experience in an insurance broking environment
Strong working knowledge of property owners
Confident in dealing directly with clients
Ability to manage cases independently
Proven ability to support, motivate, and develop people

Desirable

Experience in a leadership, supervisory, or management role within insurance
Cert CII, Dip CII, or working towards professional qualifications
Experience managing performance, recruitment, or training
Knowledge of Open GI or similar broking systems
