Role Overview
The Quality Department plays a vital role in ensuring that Applied Nutrition continues to deliver safe, compliant and industry-leading products to customers around the world. Working across all areas of the business, the team is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of quality, food safety and regulatory compliance throughout the product lifecycle, from raw material sourcing and manufacturing to finished goods and customer satisfaction.
Driven by a culture of continuous improvement, the Quality team works closely with internal departments and external partners to uphold best practices, manage quality systems and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations. Through rigorous testing, auditing and process improvement initiatives, the department helps protect the integrity of our brand and supports our commitment to excellence.
Our Applied Nutrition Quality team are looking forward to welcoming an experienced Quality Assurance Assistant to the team 6am to 6pm Tuesday to Friday, that can demonstrate the below:
Role Responsibilities
- Ensuring that Company quality procedures are adhered to.
- Ensuring quality documents are readily available, up to date, accurate, and complete at all times.
- To provide support to the Quality Supervisor.
- To assist the management and implementation of the Quality Management Systems.
- To maintain quality improvement plans.
- To update and review standard quality documentation / instructions.
- To assist in the need of an investigation and complete in timely manner.
- To support the Quality Control process as required, by assisting in checking and inspection of product.
- Review and signed off production paperwork.
- Perform quality checks on all production lines.
- Daily Hygiene audits.
- Weekly scale calibration.
- Monthly GMP audits.
- Monthly breakables audits
- Ensure that all CCP checks are done daily.
- Document control and maintain the quality manual.
- Training of new quality procedures, as well as refresher training.
- Investigate customer queries and provide feedback if necessary.
- Reporting of non- conformances to the relevant stream via Safety Culture.
- Any other duty reasonably required of the role
Essential Criteria
- Demonstrable experience with BRC, GMP and ISO standards
- Level 3 HACCP and/or Level 4 Food Safety
- Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems
- Working knowledge of relevant food legislation
- Demonstrable experience of receiving, testing, tracking and final product traceability
- Strength of character to provide colleagues with feedback and maintain a good rapport
- Comfortable with using a translator to communicate at times
- Ability and competence to use computers and associated technology
- Experience of managing your own time, alongside working well in a team to meet overall business objectives
