Westwood Primary School is seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant 2B to join our dedicated team.

About the Role
The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and pupils to support high-quality teaching and learning across the school. The role offers an opportunity to make a significant contribution to pupil progress and achievement while supporting the wider work of the school.
As a Teaching Assistant 2B, you will:
- Support class teachers and pupils in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Key stage 1.
- Play a key role in delivering high-quality classroom support.
- Contribute meaningfully to raising standards across the school.

- Has a proven ability to inspire and motivate children across all subjects.
- Builds inclusive, respectful, and nurturing relationships with pupils.
- Works in strong partnership with families, colleagues, and external professionals.
- Maintains a high level of professionalism at all times.

Contract Details:
- Work pattern: 28.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday term time only.
- Hours Allocation: This is a variable-hours contract, with 10 fixed hours and 18.75 variable hours.
- Weeks worked: 39 weeks per year, term time only, pro rata.
- Salary: Grade 5 (£25989 - £28142). Please note that the salary quoted is full-time equivalent.
- Contract: Fixed term until 31 August 2027, with the possibility of extension following a March 2027 budget review.

Essential Qualifications
- NVQ level 2 or above qualification appropriate to the post (or equivalent)
Level 2 or equivalent qualification in English/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy

- Experience of working as a Teaching Assistant within the Primary age range
Ability to work with and communicate clearly with children.
