Full job description

We’re looking for a Supply Chain Demand Planner to join our growing food manufacturing business and take ownership of production planning and forecasting across all operations.

This role sits at the heart of the business, balancing customer demand, production capacity and commercial priorities across the business to help keep everything running smoothly. It plays a big part in helping the business make the right operational decisions day to day.

You’ll work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance and Brand teams to plan production, react to changes quickly and help improve visibility across the wider business.

This is not a corporate planning role with large systems and layers of process. We’re looking for someone hands-on, commercially aware and comfortable using Excel and practical planning tools to build structure and improve the way we work.

The Role

You’ll manage production planning and forecasting activities across the business, helping ensure production plans align with customer demand, operational capacity and business priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Manage production schedules across all production
Forecast production requirements using trends and historical demand
Build and maintain planning schedules and reporting tools
Balance customer requirements alongside operational priorities
Adjust production plans in response to changing demand or supply challenges
Coordinate planning around cleans, downtime and operational constraints
Identify when overtime or additional production runs may be required
Work closely with Operations, Finance, Brand and Supply Chain teams
Support communication around customer delivery schedules where needed
Help improve planning visibility and internal processes

About You

You are:

Highly organised and proactive
Comfortable managing changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Commercially aware with a practical approach to planning
Confident using Excel and manual planning systems
A strong communicator who works well across different teams
Calm under pressure and solutions-focused
Hands-on and happy working in the detail

Experience

Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing or production planning environments preferred
Previous experience in Planning, Scheduling, Supply Chain or Customer Coordination roles
Experience balancing operational priorities and customer requirements advantageous
