Who Are GuyKat?
GuyKat is a multi-award-winning eLearning agency based in Birmingham (UK). We also have a sister company in the US, based in Tampa, Florida. We work with some of the largest brands on the planet. At our heart, we are a people-orientated professional services company. We help clients use technology to share knowledge.
What Kind of Person Are We Looking For?
Our business is growing. We are looking for great people who want to stay for the ride. We want people who are sincerely trying to find a career rather than just looking for any job.
To apply, you must have graduated or be expecting to graduate from a credible higher education institution with at least a bachelor’s degree. All ages are welcome (mature students and career changers are equally encouraged to apply).
Whilst some degree subjects are obvious fits for some of our roles, we welcome candidates from any subject area to apply for our Graduate Trainee Scheme. One of our best technology consultants joined with a degree in Film; one of our best designers joined with a degree in History.
A graduate mindset, attitude, work ethic, ambition and passion for self-improvement are far more important than your degree subject. Given we are fundamentally a learning technology company, it is helpful if you have a passion for one or both of ‘learning’ and ‘technology’.
What Is the Purpose of the Graduate Trainee Scheme?
Our Graduate Trainee Scheme is an eighteen-month programme involving a variety of placements that are designed to help you:
- Get an overview of the business as a whole. Whatever role you end up doing permanently, you will be better at it if you have a wider understanding of how everything works together.
- Find your place. Many of the jobs that GuyKat offers are very niche. It is unlikely that the careers service at your school or university will ever have made you aware of the types of roles we offer. By working in different roles over the course of the scheme, you will get a much better sense of the direction you wish to take your career.
Our aim is to offer successful graduates a permanent role within GuyKat where there is a real business need and a suitable opportunity available. Throughout the scheme, we’ll work with you to identify a role that aligns with your interests, that also aligns with your demonstrated capability and our current business requirements.
What Type of Placements Can I Expect?
GuyKat is fundamentally a professional services and consulting business. We help clients get value from learning technology, and that means our people need to understand clients, systems, processes, communication, problem solving and delivery.
Over the course of the scheme, you can typically expect to complete three six-month placements. However, there is scope for some three-month placements, so the exact path is tailored to the individual. Examples of available placements include:
Platform Enablement
To gain the key foundational knowledge, the first placement on the Graduate Trainee Scheme is always in our Platform Enablement Team. GuyKat works with Docebo, a leading learning platform, to help organisations deliver learning to their employees, customers and partners.
During this placement, you will provide hands-on support to real GuyKat clients using Docebo. You will learn how the system works, how clients use it, how to investigate problems, how to explain solutions clearly, and how to support customers professionally.
The aim is for you to become genuinely confident in the platform. We want our graduates to become Docebo ninjas, people who understand the system in depth and can use that knowledge to help clients solve problems and get more value from their investment.
This placement is not just about technical knowledge. It is also about learning how professional services work, how to communicate with clients, how to manage expectations, how to ask good questions, how to document solutions, and how to build trust.
Content Creation
The Content team designs engaging, learner focused digital learning experiences that make a real impact. During this rotation, you'll work with clients to structure and storyboard learning content, create visual assets using Adobe Creative Suite, and build interactive eLearning with tools such as Articulate Storyline and Rise. You'll develop both your creative and technical skills while learning how to transform complex information into engaging, accessible learning experiences. As with everything we deliver at GuyKat, quality is key, so you'll ensure every piece of content is accurate and ready for learners.
Platform UX/UI Design and Development (D&D)
You can push the look and feel of Docebo a very long way right out-of-the-box and with no code experience. However, large enterprise clients often want it to look 100% on brand, or have very custom requirements about how they want the front end to look, and how users should discover and interact with content. Our D&D team works with clients to build these beautiful learning experiences. Graduates on a D&D placement will become familiar with design principles, with coding in HTML and CSS, with building concept designs in tools like Figma, and gaining skills in testing and quality assurance.
Platform Consulting
Our Platform Consultants typically work with organisations at the start of their Docebo journey. They lead or support all aspects of the strategy and project management for implementing the technology into the client organisation. They ensure the system is set up correctly for their use case (and every use case is unique) and the point is to ensure the client is delighted with their investment and that the end result delivers everything they expected and ideally more. As a graduate working with our consulting team, you will learn project management skills such as planning, stakeholder engagement, project communications etc. as well as a deeper understanding of the technical and integration possibilities of Docebo and the wider ecosystem of supporting products.
Business Development and Administration
Every successful business needs strong foundations. This is a core placement and fundamental to understanding the wider business. You may learn about invoicing, billing, vendor management, cashflow, marketing, trade shows, pipeline management and other ‘back office’ functions that make the business tick. This placement will give you exposure to general business management.
Conditional Placements
We also from time to time arrange bespoke placements in response to individual skills, interests and our business needs. These have included placements in Marketing, or Program Management Office (PMO) or in Technical Integrations and Software Development.
What’s the Working Culture Like?
We are a learning technology company, so it would be strange if we didn’t employ people with a passion for learning and technology.
- By ‘passion for learning’, we mean people committed to their own personal growth. People who want to learn something new every day and who understand how others learn.
- By ‘passion for technology’, we mean people who embrace digital tools and stay aware of what’s happening in our industry, without being blinded by trends.
We want our employees to outgrow their current roles. We support career progression and expect people to help those coming up behind them. Everyone has a voice. Everyone is listened to.
What We Offer
The salary for the duration of the training scheme is £25k per annum, plus healthcare and pension. Upon successful completion of the scheme, we hope you will transition into a permanent role with a salary appropriate to the role and grade. At GuyKat, salaries increase quickly based on performance, with double-digit percentage increases year on year being common.
The scheme is office based with hybrid working. You should be located within commutable distance of Birmingham city centre. During the scheme, hybrid working typically allows for three days working from home per week.
How Do I Apply?
We are hiring in July 2026 for a September 2026 start date. Applications are processed strictly via the Indeed website.
PLEASE INCLUDE A COVER LETTER WITH YOUR APPLICATION!
You must submit a CV and a cover letter. The cover letter is far more important than the CV. Applications without a cover letter will be automatically rejected.
By all means use AI to help spell check or review your cover letter - but please write the substantive cover letter yourself, using your own voice. If you bang this ad through AI and say 'write me a cover letter' you'll produce something the same as 90% of the others we get. If you somehow made it to the interview, you'd be caught out there. Be you.
Your cover letter should explain what attracted you to the role and why GuyKat appeals to you. If your personality comes through, even better! We’re looking for natural communicators.
