Hulme Grammar School is seeking an ambitious, strategic and commercially minded Head of Marketing & Admissions to lead the School's marketing, communications and pupil recruitment functions.
This is a key leadership role with responsibility for driving pupil recruitment, enhancing the School's profile and reputation, and ensuring an outstanding admissions experience for prospective families. Reporting to the Director of Alumni and Development and leading the Marketing and Admissions Team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the School's continued growth and long-term success.
About the Role
As Head of Marketing & Admissions, you will develop and deliver an integrated marketing, communications and admissions strategy that supports the School's strategic objectives and enrolment targets.
You will oversee all aspects of marketing and pupil recruitment, from brand management, digital marketing and communications through to admissions, events, stakeholder engagement and conversion activities. This is a role for someone who enjoys both strategic leadership and hands-on delivery.
Success in the role will be measured through the achievement of recruitment targets, conversion rates, stakeholder engagement and the continued enhancement of the School's reputation and market position.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and delivering the School's marketing, communications and admissions strategy.
- Driving recruitment across all key entry points, particularly Reception, Year 7 and Sixth Form.
- Leading and developing the Marketing and Admissions Team.
- Managing the School's brand, website, digital marketing and communications activity.
- Overseeing the admissions journey from initial enquiry through to enrolment.
- Planning and delivering recruitment and engagement events, including Open Days and other key admissions events.
- Building strong relationships with prospective and current families, feeder schools and community partners.
- Using data, market intelligence and insight to inform strategy and support growth.
- Monitoring performance against recruitment targets and providing strategic recommendations to senior leaders.
About You
We are looking for an exceptional communicator and relationship-builder who can combine creativity, commercial awareness and strong organisational skills.
You will have:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in marketing, admissions, communications, business development, customer acquisition or relationship management.
- Experience of developing and delivering successful recruitment, growth or marketing strategies.
- Strong leadership and people management experience.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
- The ability to analyse data and translate insight into action.
- Experience of managing multiple priorities and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
- A commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Experience within education is welcome but not essential.
