Job title:

Commercial Legal Secretary

Reporting to:

Karen Edwards

Hours per week:

Full Time, Permanent

As the Corporate & Commercial Legal Secretary you will support the Fee Earners and Partner advising commercial clients on all aspects of non-contentious company transactions including mergers, acquisitions, sales and internal company reorganisations. You will also support on commercial matters such as terms and conditions, franchising, shareholder, partnership and LLP arrangements, personal guarantees, facility and security related agreements and joint venture development agreements.

Main Purpose of Role

To be responsible for any Corporate & Commercial work allocated to you by the departmental Fee Earners and to deal with this in a timely and appropriate manner.

· Minimum GCSE qualifications

· Ability to convey information accurately and articulately, both verbally and in writing

· Focuses on detail, needs to be methodical, organised, systematic

· Detail focussed, methodical, systematic and organised

· Able to prioritise workload and deal with interruptions

· Ability to self-motivate and structure own workload, making best use of resources and time

· Returns client calls and maintains appropriate level of client contact

· Excellent customer service

Desirable talents

The following abilities would also be desirable:

· Previous experience in corporate commercial background

· Case Management System experience

· Ability to adapt and respond to changes
