Assistant Manager at Overdraft

At Overdraft, we’re more than a bar.

We’re a music led, community driven space built around craft beer, tacos, and good times. Everything we do is designed to create a vibrant, relaxed atmosphere where people feel welcome from the moment they walk through the door.

We’re looking for an Assistant Manager who can help lead the team, maintain the energy of the venue, and deliver the kind of experience that turns first timers into regulars.

About the Role

As Assistant Manager, you’ll work closely with the management team to lead day-to-day operations, support staff development, and help create the atmosphere Overdraft is known for.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in fast-paced hospitality, genuinely enjoys people, and understands that great service is about more than just food and drinks it’s about energy, music, vibe, and making guests feel at home.

You’ll be expected to lead from the floor, support the team during busy services, maintain high standards, and help bring the Overdraft experience to life every day.

What We’re Looking For is Someone Who:

Leads with positivity, energy, and confidence
Creates welcoming experiences for both customers and staff
Understands the importance of atmosphere and attention to detail
Takes pride in quality service without being pretentious
Can motivate and support a team in a busy environment
Loves hospitality, music, food, and community culture
Has previous supervisory or management experience in hospitality

What You’ll Be Doing:

Supporting daily venue operations
Leading shifts and maintaining service standards
Coaching and motivating team members
Helping manage stock, service flow, and opening/closing procedures
Ensuring guests have an outstanding experience
Maintaining the energy, music, and atmosphere of the venue
Helping drive consistency, creativity, and team culture
