Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes or within their own homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through personalised care and assistance. The Care Assistant will work closely with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to deliver tailored care plans in a professional and respectful manner.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily activities such as washing, dressing, eating, and mobility to promote independence and dignity.
Support clients in adhering to personalised care plans, ensuring their specific needs are met effectively.
Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients’ quality of life.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in clients’ health or behaviour to relevant professionals.
Assist with medication management as directed by healthcare professionals.
Support clients with light domestic tasks, including cleaning and laundry, where appropriate.
Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times.
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
Drive or accompany clients as needed for appointments or outings, ensuring safe transportation.

Requirements

Valid driving licence is desirable for assisting with transportation needs.
Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
Ability to develop and follow personalised care plans tailored to individual needs.
Good command of English language skills for effective communication.
Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ wellbeing.
Flexibility to work shifts as required; weekend or evening availability may be beneficial but not mandatory. This role offers an enriching environment where your skills can make a real difference in people's lives while developing your professional experience within the caring sector.

Pay: £12.21-£18.06 per hour
