Ridgeway Infant School
Hours: 37 hours per week Monday–Thursday: 8.15am – 4.15pm, Friday: 8.15am – 3.45pm
Contract type: Fixed-term, maternity cover
Start Date: 4th September 2026

We are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our team on a maternity cover basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and organised individual to support teaching and learning across the school by supervising classes in the absence of teaching staff.

This is an exciting time to join our school. Our staff are supportive, collaborative, and dedicated to providing high-quality learning experiences for all pupils. We pride ourselves on creating a positive, inclusive environment where both staff and students can thrive.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring continuity of learning by delivering pre-prepared work, managing classroom behaviour, and supporting students to remain engaged and on task.

Key Tasks Include:

Supervising classes during short-term teacher absence
Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials and instructions
Maintaining good order and behaviour in line with school policies
Supporting pupils to remain focused and engaged in learning
Providing feedback to teaching staff following lessons covered
Assisting with administrative or departmental tasks when required
Contributing to the wider life and ethos of the school
