Full job description

We’re looking for a strong, reliable team member to join our food van team.

This role is mainly for cooking during busy food truck service, so we need someone who can work fast, stay organised under pressure, and keep standards consistent during service.

Main duties

Cook dishes to order during busy service on the hot line
Control heat, timing and final finish of each dish
Follow tickets carefully and help make sure orders go out correctly
Communicate clearly with the prep station and front-of-house during service
Help load and unload the food truck before and after service
Help with opening and closing cleaning duties
Help maintain a clean and organised working area throughout the shift
Support with general food van setup, pack-down and service flow
Be willing to cross-train across other stations and support the wider team when needed

What we need

Good pace and confidence in a busy kitchen
Strong attention to detail
Reliable and punctual
Able to stay calm under pressure
Able to work well as part of a small team in a tight space
Willing to learn other stations and support where needed
Happy to help with loading, unloading and cleaning as part of the role
Training will be provided, but previous food prep, street food, food truck, or fast-paced kitchen experience is preferred

Bonus if you can

Drive a food van or larger vehicle confidently
Help with van setup and movement when needed
Support across other stations during busy service

This role requires access to secure sites. Successful applicants must be willing and able to complete all required background/security checks for site access. If site clearance is not granted, we will not be able to proceed with employment in this role.

Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
