The Role
As a Welder Fabricator, you'll be responsible for carrying out high-quality fabrication, welding and repair work on HGVs, trailers and commercial vehicles while ensuring every job is completed safely and to the highest standard.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out MIG, TIG and Stick welding to a high standard.
- Fabricating and repairing HGVs, trailers and commercial vehicle components.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and fabrication specifications.
- Using profile cutting and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspecting completed welds and carrying out quality checks.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
- Working closely with the workshop team to meet deadlines.
- Following all health and safety procedures.
About You
We're looking for an experienced Welder Fabricator who takes pride in producing quality workmanship.
Ideally, you'll have:
- A minimum of 5 years' welding and fabrication experience.
- Experience with MIG, TIG and Stick welding.
- Experience using profile cutting equipment.
- Mechanical experience working on HGVs, trailers or commercial vehicles would be highly advantageous.
- The ability to fabricate, repair and modify steel structures and components.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A full UK driving licence is advantageous but not essential.
