Join Our Culinary Team at Horwood House Hotel – Chef de Partie
Location: Buckinghamshire | Department: Kitchen | Reports To: Sous Chef / Executive Chef

Horwood House Hotel is a beautifully restored Grade II listed manor nestled in the heart of Buckinghamshire. Following a £6M renovation, our hotel blends historic charm with contemporary comfort, offering guests unforgettable experiences—and we’re looking for passionate individuals to help us deliver just that.

We are currently seeking a Chef de Partie to join our talented kitchen brigade. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career in a supportive environment, where learning and development are truly valued.

The Role: What You’ll Be Doing

As Chef de Partie, you’ll assist in the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring every dish meets our high standards. You’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional food for our restaurant, banqueting, and events operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Organise and run your designated kitchen section to maximise productivity and efficiency.
Consistently prepare dishes to recipe and presentation standards.
Support the Sous and Executive Chefs in upholding company policies and culinary standards.
Control food and operating costs by minimising waste.
Train and support kitchen porters and junior team members.
Ensure hygiene and cleanliness standards are maintained across your section.
Work flexibly across different sections as required.
Maintain all kitchen equipment and report any issues promptly.
Provide professional and timely support to the front-of-house team.
Adhere to kitchen safety procedures, including proper knife handling and food storage.
Follow HACCP, COSHH and other relevant Health & Safety guidelines.
Stay focused under pressure and maintain high levels of food presentation and quality.

What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong experience as a Commis Chef ready to step up.
Excellent understanding of kitchen operations and food safety practices.
A team player with strong communication and organisational skills.
Passionate about food and delivering great guest experiences.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and across shifts as required.
