Full job description

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, organised and detail-oriented Project / Operations Assistant to support our commercial and industrial projects across the UK.

This role is suitable for someone who is patient, proactive and confident in communicating with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams. You will assist with day-to-day project coordination, follow up on outstanding actions, prepare documents and records, and help ensure projects progress smoothly and efficiently.

The position is based in Milton Keynes Office, with occasional travel to project sites when required.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with day-to-day project coordination and operational support
Liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, engineers and internal teams
Follow up on project progress, outstanding actions and deadlines
Prepare and maintain project documentation, quotations, records and reports
Support scheduling, logistics and general project planning activities
Help coordinate site visits, deliveries, materials and supplier arrangements
Maintain clear communication between different parties involved in the project
Assist with purchase orders, supplier quotes, invoices and basic administrative tasks
Keep project records organised and up to date
Support the team in resolving day-to-day operational and coordination issues

Requirements

Mandarin Chinese is essential – spoken and written
Good English communication skills – spoken and written
UK driving licence and ability to drive is essential
Strong organisational and communication skills
Detail-oriented, patient and able to follow up tasks properly
Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Proactive, responsible and willing to learn
Good computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
Previous experience in project coordination, operations, administration, customer service, property, construction, logistics or supplier coordination is preferred

Mandarin Chinese: Required
English: Required

Licence Requirement

UK Driving Licence: Required

Full-time
Initial 1-year rolling contract, with the possibility of extension subject to business needs and performance

Salary

£28,000 – £32,000 per year
