About us

We are a manufacturing company in Milton Keynes, who craft flexible fuel tanks for many industries. This includes motorsport, automotive, marine, aerospace, defence and aviation, to name a few! We are the leading manufacturer in our field and exclusively supply all of the teams on the Formula 1 grid.

We work with some world-famous brands and craft a safety product, meaning quality is of the utmost importance to us.

Job Role

We are currently looking to recruit a Materials Planner on a Fixed Term Contract (3 months). This will involve ensuring the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production, reporting all shortages or misaligned deliveries. Updating and maintaining the ERP supplier database. Coordinating with other departments such as engineering, production, stores, logistics, to ensure that materials are available when needed.

Main Duties

Determining the required materials and generating purchase orders.
Analysis of MRP data to ensure the company are procuring material within cost constraints.
Scheduling and overseeing the supply and delivery of materials and products, coordinating with Stores team
Managing schedule changes, and cancellations as directed by the Planning Resource function
Reviewing inventory levels of materials and ordering additional quantities, when necessary, based on business requirements
Ensuring that materials are delivered on time
Monitoring costs associated with materials purchases and maintaining supplier records
Update daily production meeting with accurate material shortage information
Proactively update & maintain supplier contact details, costings and any other records

Requirements

Previous experience within a manufacturing environment as a Planner / Scheduler or buyer.
Strong attention to detail.
Previous ERP/MRP knowledge.
Inquisitive and continuous improvement mindset
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workloads
