Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a professional and reliable PCV Coach Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation, maintenance, and communication skills to ensure smooth and efficient journeys. The position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, contributing to the safety and satisfaction of our passengers.

Duties

Safely operate passenger vehicles, including coaches and buses, in accordance with traffic laws and company policies
Conduct pre-journey checks to ensure vehicle safety and roadworthiness
Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, ensuring comfort and safety at all times
Maintain accurate records of journeys, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents
Communicate effectively with passengers, colleagues, and management to coordinate schedules and address any issues promptly
Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks or report mechanical issues to the appropriate department
Follow all health and safety regulations, including adherence to COVID-19 protocols where applicable
Ensure the cleanliness and presentation of the vehicle are maintained throughout shifts

Skills

Proven experience as a PSV driver, particularly with passenger vehicles such as coaches or buses
assist with basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting Via walk around Checks
Excellent driving skills with a valid Catagory D driver licence
Good communication skills in English, capable of providing clear information to passengers and team members
Ability to operate vehicles safely over long distances and in various traffic conditions
Organised with good time management skills to adhere to schedules efficiently
Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and safety standards is desirable

Tachograph Card

DBS/Staffordshire/Cheshire Badge - Advantageous or will to obtain

No More than 6 Points on licence

No DN10 or INS on licence
