Full job description

Student Facility Management are a growing student accommodation provider, operating purpose-built student accommodation schemes nationally both privately and in conjunction with Universities.

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Operative for our prestigious, purpose-built student accommodation scheme to be located primarily in Leicester to carry out day to day maintenance. Travel may be required to neighbouring cities.

The role of Maintenance Operative requires a flexible approach to deliver the highest standards of service, which may involve occasional weekend working and some out of hours cover.

Key Responsibilities:

· General buildings repair and maintenance, producing schedules of work where required

· Working with Suppliers, obtaining best quotes and reporting to Accommodation Manager

· Buildings, equipment health & safety checks

· Stock management

· General administration duties

· Providing a high standard of customer services at all times

· Maintaining health and safety standards in line with legislation

What are we looking for:

· Relevant experience as a handyperson and the use of a range of tools

· General understanding of health & safety

· Ability to prioritise effectively

· Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

· Ability to represent the business in a professional manner

· Ability to work outside normal working hours

· Able to cover at short notice

Pay: From £28,000.00 per year
