Accounts & Administration Assistant

Location: Wolston, CV8 3FZ
Job Type: Full-time, Office-Based (No Remote Working)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
Salary: Up to £27,000 per annum

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive, organised, and detail-oriented Accounts & Administration Assistant to join our team. This is a varied role that combines accounting support with general office administration, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining high levels of accuracy and professionalism.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial and administrative operations of the business while acting as a professional first point of contact for customers and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Duties

Process supplier and sales invoices accurately and efficiently.
Perform bank reconciliations and assist with maintaining accurate financial records.
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
Manage credit control activities, including monitoring outstanding balances and following up on overdue accounts.
Assist with financial reporting and general accounting administration as required.

Administration Duties

Maintain accurate electronic and paper-based filing systems.
Update and manage customer records within the CRM system.
Maintain licence agreements, data records, and related documentation.
Handle and resolve customer and supplier queries in a timely and professional manner.
Support the operations and maintenance team.
Provide administrative assistance to the wider team as required.

Skills & Experience

Minimum 1 year of experience in an accounts administration or similar role.
Proven experience using Sage 50 Accounts.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Full UK Driving Licence.
A-Level education or equivalent qualification.
