Overview

Join our dedicated team as a Children's Residential Support Worker and make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate care, guidance, and support to children and adolescents living in residential settings. Your energy and enthusiasm will help create a safe, nurturing environment where young people can thrive, develop essential life skills, and reach their full potential. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic setting where your positive influence can inspire lasting change.

Duties

Support children and young people with daily routines, including personal care, meal preparation, and recreational activities
Develop and implement tailored care plans to meet individual needs and promote emotional well-being
Foster open communication by actively listening and engaging with young people to build trust and rapport
Monitor behavior and intervene appropriately to ensure safety for all residents and staff
Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and progress in accordance with organizational policies
Assist with transportation needs by driving children to school, appointments, or community activities when required
Collaborate with colleagues, families, social workers, and other professionals to support positive outcomes for children

Experience

Proven experience working with children or in childcare settings is highly desirable
Valid driving license with clean driving record to safely transport children when needed
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with young people, families, and team members
Ability to follow detailed care plans and adapt approaches based on individual needs
Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate documentation and reporting
Demonstrated patience, empathy, and resilience in challenging situations
