Full job description

Job Overview
As Farm Shop Manager, you'll take full responsibility for the smooth running and commercial success of the shop. You'll lead and inspire the team, maintain exceptional standards, and ensure every customer enjoys a warm, welcoming and memorable experience. This is a varied role combining retail management, people leadership, stock control, and merchandising. Ideally suited to someone who enjoys being on the shop floor and leading from the front.

Duties

Oversee the daily operation of the farm shop, ensuring smooth, efficient, and safe running.
Lead, coach, and motivate the team to deliver outstanding customer service.
Manage staff rotas, recruitment, training and performance.
Drive sales and profitability through strong visual merchandising and stock presentation.
Manage stock levels, ordering and waste control.
Maintaining excellent supplier relationships, and sourcing new local supplier potential.
Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, food safety, and H&S compliance.
Handle customer feedback professionally, resolving issues positively.
Monitor KPI's, sales performance, and costs to meet commercial targets.
Support seasonal promotions, and new product launches.

Requirements

Proven management experience within retail or farm shop environments, including supervising teams and managing sales operations.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Demonstrated leadership qualities with experience in team management and staff development.
Knowledge of merchandising principles and retail management techniques.
Good time management skills to ensure smooth daily operations.
Administrative experience related to stock control, sales records, and reporting processes.
Professional phone etiquette with the ability to handle customer interactions courteously.
Organisational skills that support efficient shop layout, stock rotation, and promotional planning.

Hours: Full-Time, 40 Hours per Week (5 Days Including some weekend days)

Salary: £30,000 - £31,200 per annum (Dependent on Experience)

Pay: £30,000.00-£31,200.00 per year
