Full job description

Part Time Role: Minimum 16 hours / 2 days per week. More days available for the right candidate.

Job Summary

Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Receptionist, where your energetic and welcoming presence will set the tone for an exceptional patient experience. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, managing appointments, handling administrative tasks, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Your proactive approach and positive attitude will help foster a friendly environment that encourages patient trust and satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your administrative skills within a healthcare setting dedicated to quality care and community well-being.

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a positive first impression
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments efficiently using practice management software
Manage patient check-in and check-out processes with accuracy and attention to detail
Handle incoming calls, answer inquiries, and direct messages promptly
Maintain organized patient records, insurance information, and billing documentation
Coordinate with dental staff to ensure timely flow of patient care and appointment flow
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and inventory management of office supplies

Skills

Proven office experience with strong organizational skills
Previous administrative experience in a healthcare or dental environment is highly desirable
Excellent communication skills—friendly, clear, and professional in all interactions
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
Proficiency with office software such as Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent practice management systems
Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and team members
Previous experience in dental appointment software is desirable but full training will be given.
