Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Handyman/woman to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance tasks, and support other team members. The position is paid and requires a dedicated professional committed to high standards of safety and customer service.

Duties

Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance
Repair and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and plumbing issues using appropriate tools and techniques
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report on equipment status
Supervise junior staff or contractors during maintenance projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed as and where needed
Assist in the realisation of projects aimed at improving facility efficiency and safety standards
Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally
Has a hands on approach and is willing to tackle challenging tasks whilst remaining professional and calm at all times

Qualifications

Proven experience in maintenance work, with a solid understanding of electrical systems, mechanical repairs, and general building upkeep
Strong electrical experience including troubleshooting electrical faults safely and effectively
Leadership experience supervising teams or projects within a maintenance environment
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Customer service orientation with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
Organised with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
