The Role
We are looking for a creative, hands-on and commercially minded Social Media & Marketing Coordinator to take ownership of our social media presence and support wider marketing activities across our growing Building Plastics and Windows and Doors business.
This is a standalone marketing role, giving you the opportunity to make a real impact across both our network of trade counters and our online business. You will initially work alongside our external social media agency and senior management team, with the role developing over time to take greater ownership of day-to-day marketing activity in-house, you will be responsible for creating engaging content, building brand awareness, supporting sales growth and helping drive traffic online and in-store.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, create and schedule engaging content across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and other relevant platforms
- Work alongside our external social media agency initially, with a view to gradually bringing more social media planning, content creation and campaign delivery in-house.
- Visit branch locations to capture photos, videos and customer success stories
- Create content that promotes products, services, special offers and company news
- Support the growth of our e-commerce website through digital marketing initiatives
· Manage Google and search-related accounts, including Google Business Profiles, Google Ads and search platform activity to support online visibility and lead generation
· Monitor and respond to online reviews across Google, social media and other relevant platforms
· Develop and maintain a marketing content calendar covering social media, email, website updates, seasonal campaigns, product launches and branch promotions
· Liaise with branches, sales teams and suppliers to gather content, product information, imagery and promotional updates
· Coordinate promotional campaigns with sales teams so online marketing activity supports trade counter offers, commercial priorities and customer engagement
· Support local SEO activity, including branch location pages, keywords, listings and search visibility
· Coordinate email marketing campaigns and customer communications
- Ensure brand consistency across all marketing channels
- Monitor and respond to social media enquiries and customer engagement
- Track and analyse campaign performance, providing regular reports and recommendations
- Identify trends, opportunities and competitor activity within the building plastics, window and doors and construction related products sectors
- Assist with website content updates, product launches and promotional activity
- Support branch openings, events, exhibitions and customer-focused initiatives
- Produce marketing materials including brochures, leaflets, signage and point-of-sale materials when required
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a social media, marketing or digital marketing role
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and content creation
- Experience creating photo and video content for marketing campaigns
- Excellent copywriting and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Confidence working with external agencies and suppliers
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Experience using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar design tools
- Understanding of website, SEO and email marketing principles
· Experience managing Google/search accounts, such as Google Business Profiles, Google Ads or similar platforms
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret campaign performance data
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to visit branch locations
Desirable
- Experience within retail, trade, construction, merchanting or building products sectors
- Knowledge of e-commerce marketing
- Experience using WordPress, Shopify or similar web platforms
- Basic photography and video editing skills

Hours: 39 per week , 8am-5pm Monday to Thursday, 8am-4pm Friday, however, part time applications also considered.
