Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and organised Receptionist/Legal Secretary to join our busy legal practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing front desk duties, providing administrative support and ensuring smooth daily operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong communication skills and a background in administrative work, particularly within legal environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in audio typing, exceptional organisational skills and IT skills to support our firm.

Duties

Welcome clients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
Answer incoming calls promptly and direct them appropriately
Manage appointment scheduling and calendar organisation for legal staff
Perform audio typing of legal documents, correspondence, and reports with accuracy and confidentiality
Prepare, edit, and format documents using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook; we transfer and bundledocs.
Maintain filing systems both electronically and physically in accordance with data protection policies
Assist with general administrative tasks including photocopying, scanning, and data entry
Support with document organisation, client correspondence, and case management
Ensure the reception area remains tidy and professional at all times
Handle incoming mail and courier deliveries efficiently

Qualifications

Proven administrative experience, preferably within a legal or professional environment
Strong audio typing skills with high accuracy and speed
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook; We transfer and Bundle docs.
Good IT skills with the ability to adapt to new software programmes quickly
Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Strong time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Attention to detail and confidentiality are essential for this role

Pay: £24,420.00-£39,912.14 per year
