Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Administrator to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing various accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance across financial records. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a professional environment, supporting the smooth operation of our organisation’s financial processes. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of accounting principles.

Duties

Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments to suppliers and vendors
Utilise accounting software Xero to maintain precise financial records
Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts regularly to ensure consistency and accuracy
Assist with invoicing, billing, and expense tracking activities
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
Prepare reports related to accounts receivable, payable, and other financial data as required
Maintain organised filing systems for all financial documents and correspondence
Assist with general office duties as required

Qualifications

Proven experience working with accounting software Xero would be an advantage
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial record keeping
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Prior experience in an administrative or finance-related role is desirable but not essential
Further hours may be available
