Job Introduction

School Business Manager

Start date: 1st September 2026

Salary: Grade 8 (£31119-£34203 actual salary per annum term time only 39 weeks)

There is some flexibility around working hours for the successful candidate. Exact hours can be agreed at the interview stage, with salary adjusted accordingly to reflect the hours worked.

School Tour Dates: Tues 23rd June 9:30 or 4:00pm, Wed 24th June 9:30 or 4:00pm, Thurs 25th June 9:30 or 4:00pm

Closing Date for Applications: Wednesday 1st July 4pm

Interview Date: Monday 6th July

Dingle Community Primary School is seeking to appoint a highly organised, strategic and proactive School Business Manager to join our dedicated team.

This is a pivotal role within the school, working closely with the Headteacher and Governors to ensure the effective leadership and management of the school’s financial, operational and administrative functions.

The successful candidate will:

Lead on financial planning, budget management and resource allocation.
Oversee administration, HR processes, compliance and operational systems.
Support the management and development of the school site, premises and health & safety procedures.
Contribute strategically to school improvement and organisational effectiveness.
Promote high standards of professionalism, efficiency and customer service across the school community.
Work collaboratively with staff, governors, families, external agencies and the Local Authority.

We are looking for a candidate who:

Has strong financial and organisational skills.
Demonstrates excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
Has experience of operational management within a school or similar environment.
Is able to manage competing priorities effectively whilst maintaining high standards.
