Accounting Administrator

HV Energy Solutions Ltd – Norwich, Norfolk
Salary: £27,000 – £35,000 per year (depending on experience)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Norwich, NR3

About Us

HV Energy Solutions is a specialist engineering company delivering high-voltage power system solutions across the UK. Our expertise includes the design, manufacture, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical transmission and distribution systems, supporting critical infrastructure and energy projects.

As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a highly organised and detail-focused Accounting Administrator to join our team in Norwich.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator with strong accounting knowledge and Xero experience to play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business.

Working closely with management, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring administrative processes run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Processing purchase and sales invoices
Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
Bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
Using Xero to manage daily accounting activities
Assisting with month-end and year-end procedures
Preparing financial reports and spreadsheets
Credit control and customer account management
Processing employee expenses
Supporting payroll administration
Maintaining filing systems and financial documentation
General office administration and support duties

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Previous experience in an accounting, finance, or bookkeeping administration role
Strong working knowledge of Xero (essential)
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Good understanding of accounting principles and processes
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Professional and confident communication skills

Desirable

AAT qualification or working towards AAT
Experience within engineering, construction, manufacturing, or technical sectors
Payroll administration experience
