Dyvine Food Group is looking for caring, reliable and patient focused Caterers to join our dedicated team supporting meal services within a hospital setting in Colney. This role plays an important part in supporting patient wellbeing by ensuring they receive nutritious, well‑presented meals prepared with dignity, sensitivity and attention to individual needs.
Salary:
Competitive hourly rate with an enhanced rate on weekends & Bank Holidays Contract: Fixed Term – 9 Months (with potential extension) Hours: 36 hours per week. Shifts between 6.30am – 7pm, including alternate weekends. All shifts include a 30 minute unpaid lunch break. Location: Colney, Norwich, NR4.
Working within a professional and compassionate hospital environment, you will help deliver a high‑quality catering service that supports patients, families, visitors and staff during their time spent in Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
Catering & Food Service
- Prepare, regenerate and serve meals, snacks and beverages in line with daily menus and individual dietary requirements.
- Regenerate main meals and desserts using Burlodge ovens.
- Maintain excellent standards of food presentation, portion control, temperature monitoring and overall meal quality.
- Ensure all food hygiene, allergen, dysphagia and food safety procedures are followed consistently.
- Carry out stock rotation, safe storage and accurate checking of deliveries.
- Keep all catering areas, equipment and service points clean, organised and welcoming, inline with company standards.
Patient‑Centred Service
- Provide a warm, respectful and attentive service to patients, families and visitors.
- Adapt meal service to meet individual needs, including modified diets, allergies and personal preferences.
- Work collaboratively with clinical and support teams to ensure mealtimes contribute positively to patient comfort.
- Uphold infection prevention, health and safety and hospital care standards at all times.
About You
- Previous experience in catering, food service or hospitality is required.
- Experience in a hospital or healthcare environment is helpful but not essential - full training will be provided.
- You will be compassionate, reliable and able to work calmly and professionally in a busy, sensitive environment.
- A commitment to dignity, respect and high‑quality service is essential
- A full DBS Enhanced Application will be required for this role.
Pay: £24,500.00-£30,000.00 per year
