About the role

As a Volunteer Services Administrator, you will play an important role in delivering a high-quality volunteering service by providing administrative support across the entire volunteer lifecycle. From recruitment and onboarding through to ongoing engagement and compliance, you'll help ensure volunteers have a positive experience while supporting managers to follow our processes and standards.

Acting as a key point of contact for volunteers and colleagues, you'll maintain accurate records, coordinate essential checks, and support the effective use of our Volunteer Management System and learning platforms. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is highly organised, customer-focused, and passionate about enabling volunteers to make a meaningful contribution across Southern Hospice Group.

You'll be

Supporting the end-to-end volunteer recruitment process, from advertising opportunities to onboarding successful applicants.
Managing volunteer records and ensuring all compliance checks, documentation, and safeguarding requirements are completed and maintained accurately.
Acting as a first point of contact for volunteers and managers via our helpline and inbox.
Supporting volunteers to access and use our Volunteer Management System (Assemble) and online learning platforms.
Processing volunteer lifecycle changes, including new starters, role change and leavers.
Monitoring and reporting on safer recruitment and compliance requirements, escalating any risks or concerns.
Assisting with volunteer communications, engagement activities and recognition events.
Building positive relationships with internal teams and external partners to support volunteering opportunities.
Contributing to the continuous improvement of volunteering systems and ways of working.
Championing volunteering across the organisation and helping to promote the value and impact of volunteers.
