Full job description

Turning Tides is the lead provider for the West Sussex DAAT contract for Accommodation-Based Support Services for Alcohol and Drug Recovery.

In addition to supporting individuals in early recovery within a residential setting, Turning Tides delivers a unique Managed Withdrawal from Alcohol Programme for clients who are physically dependent on alcohol and are seeking support to address their dependency.

About You

We are seeking a motivated and organised Registered Nurse (Mental Health or General) with experience or a strong interest in working with individuals with multiple and complex needs, including homelessness, substance misuse, and co-occurring physical and mental health conditions.

The ideal candidate will have post-qualification clinical experience working with individuals affected by drug and alcohol addiction, be registered with the NMC, and have knowledge of the CIWA scale (Clinical Institute Withdrawal Assessment for Alcohol).

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to service development, alongside a strong understanding of and experience working with this client group. Previous clinical experience in alcohol misuse is essential.

Experience in delivering training, or a willingness to do so, would be an advantage.

This is a unique opportunity to work within the voluntary sector as a Registered Nurse and make a meaningful difference to people’s lives

A current NMC registration is required for this role.
