About The Role

About This Role

As a Night Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining a peaceful, supportive environment for our residents overnight. Your responsibilities will include:

Providing personal care such as dressing, bathing, and continence support
Supporting residents who may wake, feel anxious, or need reassurance during the night
Assisting with evening and morning routines to ensure comfort and dignity
Monitoring residents’ wellbeing and responding promptly to any changes
Completing light household tasks to help maintain a safe, welcoming home
Offering compassionate care to those with chronic conditions or nearing end of life
Building trusting, meaningful relationships with residents and their families

Guild Care was founded in Worthing in 1933 by visionary volunteers dedicated to supporting vulnerable individuals in the local community. Originally known as Worthing Council of Social Service, the organisation focused on alleviating poverty, isolation, and health challenges during difficult times. In the 1950s and 1960s, Guild Care established innovative day centres and residential care homes, significantly enhancing life quality for older adults and individuals with disabilities. Today, Guild Care supports over 3,000 people annually across West Sussex through a range of community-focused services.
