Full job description

Job Description:

Due to business growth, we are currently recruiting for a Production Supervisor to work within our busy Production department. The successful candidate will oversee the production Operatives, technicians and Line leaders here at Lymn Bank Farm. Organise and monitor workflow on the production floor. Look for ways to improve employee efficiency to maximise production output and profits.

We’re looking for someone who can make an immediate impact and take full ownership of their role. In return, we offer excellent career progression opportunities for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily production activities.
Ensure production schedules are met on time and within quality standards.
Monitor employee performance and provide coaching, training, and support.
Enforce workplace safety policies and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Inspect products and processes to maintain quality standards.
Minimize downtime by coordinating with maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues.
Prepare daily reports.
Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste, and optimize manufacturing processes.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with quality, engineering, maintenance, warehouse, and planning departments.

Skills and Competencies

Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Time management and organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement principles.
Analytical and reporting skills.

Working Conditions

· Work is performed in a manufacturing or production environment.

· Mon-Fri 7am-7pm (Although this is normally 5pm), No weekends, No bank holiday, Christmas shut down.

Scrap and waste reduction

Leadership, Production Experience, Good Written and Oral Communication Skills, Problem Solving Abilities, Delegation, Negotiation, Ability to Work and Make Decisions Under Pressure, Compassion, Time Management Skills, Computer Literacy, People Person, Ability to Work as Part of a Team.

In return the successful candidate will receive a competitive rate of £16.56 per hour plus pension contributions, holidays, free parking and the opportunity to join a fantastic team.
