Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and customer service, looking to contribute to a dynamic logistics operation. The position involves operating commercial vehicles and maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism throughout the delivery process.

Duties

Safely operate company vehicles, including lorries and vans, in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies.
Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrival at destinations.
Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting, with attention to safety procedures.
Verify delivery details and obtain necessary signatures or proof of delivery from customers.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding delivery schedules or issues.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance needs.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure operational safety and compliance.
Assist in warehouse activities when required, including stock organisation and inventory management.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role involving commercial driving.
Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
Experience with warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple deliveries.
Knowledge of traffic laws, safety procedures, and route planning tools is preferred. This role offers an engaging environment for motivated individuals eager to develop their driving career while delivering exceptional service.
