Full job description

Scott Cohen Solicitors Limited is a specialist property and leasehold practice seeking an experienced paralegal to join its team in the Liverpool area. the successful candidate will manage a varied and active caseload spanning a range of Property Litigation cases.

Knowledge & Skills Required:

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years working previously as a paralegal within Property Litigation or Conveyancing and will be able to demonstrate familiarity with working with long leases and the interpretation of leasehold covenants . Experience in the following areas is desirable: service charge recovery, resolution of leasehold disputes, lease variations, right to manage cases, or proceedings before the first tier tribunal (property chamber). Candidates with experience in General Civil litigation, Contract or Commercial Property will also be considered and ideally will be able to demonstrate transferable experience in the close reading and interpretation of contractual or statutory provisions.

Full Training will be provided in all areas to complement the candidate's prior experience so that the successful candidate will be in a position to manage a varied caseload encompassing a range of areas.

The successful candidate will be a self starter and possess excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to work accurately within a fast paced environment subject to deadlines.

This is a fantastic and rewarding opportunity for a bright individual to develop a speciality within the various areas of Property Litigation, through the ongoing active caseload of the firm

An indication of the starting salary has been supplied, and the salary offered will be dependent on experience.
